Wrinkle Relaxer
Neuromodulators, often referred to as wrinkle relaxers, work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals responsible for muscle contractions. This helps to reduce wrinkles and minimize dynamic facial expressions. At our facility, we utilize neuromodulators to rejuvenate different areas of the face, such as:
Forehead: We can smooth out furrows and horizontal lines, giving you a more youthful appearance.
Glabella: By softening the vertical lines between your eyebrows (also known as frown lines or 11 lines), we can help you achieve a more relaxed and refreshed look.
Crow’s Feet: Our treatment can diminish the lines that radiate from the outer corners of your eyes, helping you achieve a smoother and more vibrant appearance.
Bunny Lines: If you have wrinkles on your nose, we can address them effectively with our neuromodulator treatment.
Downturned Corners of the Mouth: Our technique can provide a subtle lift to the corners of your mouth, giving you a more uplifted and cheerful appearance.
Neck Bands: If you have visible bands on your neck, our neuromodulator treatment can help address and reduce their appearance, enhancing the overall smoothness of your neck area.
By utilizing the power of neuromodulators, we can help you achieve a more youthful and rejuvenated look in these and other areas.
In addition to their cosmetic applications, neuromodulators also have therapeutic uses that can significantly improve the quality of life for individuals dealing with certain medical conditions. These treatments have been approved by regulatory bodies for specific therapeutic purposes. For example, neuromodulators can be used to alleviate chronic migraines by targeting specific trigger points on the head and neck. They can also help manage excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands. Furthermore, some patients with muscle spasticity caused by conditions like cerebral palsy or stroke can benefit from neuromodulator injections to reduce muscle stiffness and improve mobility. These therapeutic uses demonstrate the versatile nature of neuromodulator treatments, providing relief and enhancing the well-being of individuals dealing with these conditions. If you believe you could benefit from any of these therapeutic applications, we encourage you to consult with our medical professionals to discuss your specific needs and potential treatment options.
What to expect
When you get neuromodulators, such as Botox, there are a few things you can expect. Firstly, the procedure is quick and relatively painless, usually taking around 10-15 minutes. Our Doctors will use a fine needle to inject the neuromodulator into the targeted muscles. You may feel a slight pinch or stinging sensation, but it is generally well-tolerated. After the treatment, you may experience some redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, but these side effects are usually mild and temporary. It’s important to avoid rubbing or touching the treated area immediately after the procedure. Don’t exercise, lie down or bend over for 4 hours post treatment. The effects of neuromodulators begin to show within a few days, with full results visible in 2 weeks. The results typically last for 3-4 months, and maintenance treatments are recommended to sustain the desired outcome. Overall, neuromodulators can provide noticeable improvements in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and giving you a smoother, more youthful complexion.
